In quest of efficiency and sustainability ,Dubai’s air taxi plan promises reduced noise levels, environmental friendly, zero operating emissions, and enhanced passenger convenience. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, these aerial vehicles aim to seamlessly integrate into Dubai’s urban landscape.
Dubai Transport Authority signed an agreement with US-based Joby Aviation to operate air taxis in Dubai for six years. Joe Ben Bevirt, chief executive and founder of Joby Aviation, said the aircraft will fly at 200 miles an hour leading to more efficient and hasleless transport system. Project has gotten approval of FAA. It will come into operation by 2026 only.
Phase 1 plan-
Aircraft will commence its operation between Dubai international airport and Palm Jumhera island amongst few other options.
